The Friday nite Preview Party kicks off Westfest with music, dancing, food & the Miss Westfest Contest!
The gates open at 5:30 p.m., the Miss Westfest will be crowned at 7:00 p.m. and the music begins at 8:00 p.m.   Friday music is provided by the best Country bands in Texas!.

Taroky Tournament  – Presenting Sponsor – Sykora Family Ford

Polka Mass

The Cultural Amphitheater will be the site for the annual Westfest Polka Mass.  This Catholic Mass begins Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.

There is no entry fee to attend the mass and admission is free.   But if you wish to stay afterwards and enjoy the rest of the festival you must purchase an armband at the gate entrance upon entering.


Kolache Baking Contest  – Presenting Sponsor- SLOVACEK’S

Everyone is invited to enter their Kolaches in the Westfest Kolache Baking contest on Sunday.

The awards presentation for this year’s Kolache Baking contest will be at 4pm in the cultural area on the grounds.

Back this year…..Buchta Contest…….Buchta must be 6′” in length and unsliced.

This contest is open to both professional and non-professional bakers. Kolaches must be made of scratch yeast dough and the entries must consist of six average size kolaches of the same filling.
